2025 Theme, Fundraiser & Shop Updates

Good time zone all, we’re coming at you with some stellar 2025 updates!

Theme & General:

If you hadn’t already seen from our closing ceremonies and banner changes on socials, 2025’s theme is “Cosmos” – So we’re going to space! We have a lot of fun themed things in the works and staff are working hard getting the forms for panels, DJs and more updated and out soon, so stay tuned!

Fundraiser:

The fundraiser begins NOW however it’s starting only on Ko-fi for the time being while our Website Store and site in general is getting some updates. Bad timing, we know, but this is how it worked out. We will detail some shop updates (like shipping to the EU) in the following section, but here we will talk about some of the general Fundraiser goals and offerings.

This year, we’ve reformatted the tiers to support budget heavy departments more thoroughly and of course our team artist projects. All funds go towards our upkeep, which includes hiring community artists (2D and 3D), as well as website, software, services, etc., that keep us running as smoothly as we can. Without these fundraisers and the merch we sell, we wouldn’t have enough to keep running, so thank you to all the folks that have grabbed something from our stores over the years. Even a few dollar Ko-fi support helps a lot.

$500: Button Pin Set & Artist Overhead – This is to ensure that we can send some support to the artists who are working on the fundraiser items and to get our button pin set made.

$1000: Giveaway & VR Build Overhead – This will unlock a free giveaway that will take place on some of our socials as well as funds going towards our VR World builds and upkeep. Our VR Lead, Lilithe is also making a cute critter companion for your avatar, of the Dinobird that has hitched a ride with Connor from last years Cretaceous theme and preorders are available now on Ko-fi and soon our Website Store.

$1500: Bonus Prints, Music & Events Overhead – We’re excited to bring back the creation of an official themed music album this year! Frozen Measure is returning to bring us some chill space vibes for the event and we’ve commissioned him for 4 songs to start, but the more funds we raise, the more songs we can commission (up to 8.) We will also get a bonus print available in our shops once more art is complete. There will be a fun motivational poster available in the Website Store once that is updated and out of maintenance mode.

$2000: Vendor Fee Discount & Vendor Team Overhead – As per usual, a big goal for us, is to reduce the cost to our vendors for the event. Our income solely comes from Vendor fees, merch sales, and donations at this time so if we can make enough merch sales to compensate, then we can reduce the vendor fees. We are also always trying to find better ways to streamline the organization and system so funds will go towards these sorts of improvements as we find, plan, and incorporate them.

$2500: Limited Edition Enamel Pins – This is something we’ve been wanting to do for a while now and this year, we have some themed ideas we would really like to make a reality so if we reach this goal, it will fund the creation of some enamel pins. Once designs are finalized and a manufacturer is confirmed, preorders for these will go up in the shop (and be included in the CozyCon Club tier once that is all settled.)



Convention Shops:

With all the new updates around the GPSR requirements we had temporarily turned off shipping to the EU while we researched and figured out our compliance needs. This has put a couple wrenches in our store layouts we wanted to avoid, but for the time being are necessary.

WEBSITE STORE (Worldwide): Our print on demand partner that does our apparel, most of our stickers and other items is now setup and in compliance so EU orders for those and digital item preorders are now back online. This is now effectively our worldwide items store. Due to limitations, we cannot put things the staff ship directly like pogs, pins, etc., on this storefront for the time being, which makes shipping more difficult for us but easier for EU shoppers.

KO-FI STORE (Worldwide digital items and donations, non-EU physical items): The ko-fi store is now going to house the digital item preorders (available worldwide) and it will also house the items our staff are currently handling the shipping of, like pogs, button pins and the like that cannot be shipped to the EU at this time. Ko-fi is also the shop that directly connects to our Fundraiser twitch streams so purchases here will show up on stream, and there will be some twitch stream related rewards once they start up. This is also the space where you can simply make a donation to support the event from any location that can use PayPal.

What about the COZYCON CLUB bundles? Those are being sorted currently. The usual style bundle is planned to be available through the Ko-fi shop for non-EU folks (tshirt, badge, print, pogs, pins, etc) and we’re looking to see if it’s possible to make some kind of bundle option in the Website store that will be open to EU folks using our printer partner but it is unclear currently if it’s exactly doable. If you are in the EU, you can always have a friend purchase the bundle on your behalf from the Ko-fi store, and they can then re-ship it to you as a gift. We will make sure we announce further updates on socials and our discord once those are sorted and available, in whatever way we can make them available to the most people.

We’re currently working towards getting everything shipping to the EU but as I’m sure a lot of our vendors who sell online know, it’s kind of a hot mess right now. While there are mentions of added considerations for low quantity shippers to the EU, details are forthcoming so we’re working with what is available, looking at some alternative methods in the mean time to get those other items in compliance but it will take time as our team is small and there’s a lot to be done in the planning year.
